Valentine's Day!!

Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day!! I think I had a bit too much chocolate/sugar yesterday! Charlotte spit up for the first time ha ha!!

'Hoppy' Groundhog Day!!

Today we took advantage of a little sun and had a stiff competition of hopscotch!! It was a close race between Olivia, Andy and Levi but in the end Levi took the win. Then the competitors joined forces and made a flower pot course just for fun :)  Looking forward to spring!! Hooray for the groundhog today who didn't see his shadow! Woo Hoo!!!

THE MIRACLE TREE!!

You know sometimes its the little things in life that make you happy!! Like the this 8ft noble for tree we bought for $10 from a church group from Hopewell Or to help support them on a mission trip to Honduras this Feb. Normally we buy a tree, water it once or twice at the most, and then it quits drinking the water, dries up and becomes a fire hazard. Well not this year!! We have had this tree for 2 weeks and I am proud to say that it has drank a pitcher of water everyday since we have set it up!!  Now being the skeptic that I am, I checked to make sure there wasn't a hole in the bottom of my tree stand or something ha ha!! Nope!! Just a thirsty tree that makes me smile every morning. Now the sight of me crawling under it with a 8 1/2 month pregnant belly to give it a drink would probably make you do more than smile!! More like laugh hysterically :)

LEVI'S MAGIC BIRTHDAY!!

Today Levi turned 20 on the 20th!! He is on a basketball trip to California that has turned out to be a whole other story in itself. For those of you who don't know, he is the assistant coach of the Linfield girls varsity basketball team. 11 of the team and the head coach all got food poisoning that has resulted in 5 hospitalizations and some very sick girls. Levi and 3 of the players didn't get sick! They are trying to get cleared to make their way home. Too long of a story to type right now, but the real reason I am posting is because on HIS Birthday he had Elindsey deliver me 20 red roses and a card he had wrote me before he left on his trip that of coarse make me cry, right there at work. This guy is going to make a great husband someday to whoever is lucky enough to get him!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the second boy that stole my heart the minute I first laid eyes on him :)

Surprise!!

Well its my birthday today so I thought it would be appropriate to tell you all about a surprise present I am getting this year! Well who would have thought or expected that this grandma is going to have a baby January 7th?! What?!? Did I just read what I think I did you say?! That's exactly what I have been thinking these past 14 weeks!! But there's no denying it, and 3 ultrasounds confirming it to be true.

SPRING IS HERE!!!

Everywhere I turn the signs are all around!! Pink petaled sidewalks, blooming lilacs, and baseball :) Although when I look up its often a grey sky, I will choose on those days to look around me at all the new things in bloom!  Like the walk I took today where these pictures emerged from!! Happy, simple pleasures....
